VNIIA has designed a wide range of pressure transducers and relays for automated process control systems in petroleum, chemical and atomic industry. The pressure transducers are certified in the OIT System and are recommended for application at the Gazprom facilities, the transducers and relays are included into the Register of Suppliers for the material and equipment procured by Transneft. The transducers and relays have the conformity certificate in the GOST R System as the explosion-proof equipment, and the application permission from the environmental, technological and atomic oversight authority. The Institute has License for design and manufacture of the equipment for the NPP, the certificate of conformance to the requirements of ISO 9001-2001 issued by the "Military Register" System.
The transducers and relays are produced serially in several modifications. Currently there are several tens of thousands pressure transducers and relays operated at the facilities of the petroleum industry.

VNIIA pressure transducers can measure:

• Absolute pressure;
• Pressure difference;
• Overpressure;
• Pressure and under-pressure;
• Vacuum pressure;
• Liquid and gas flow.

They are remarkable for the wide range of pressures measured with high precision and stability, the ease of operation, the broad temperature range, explosion-proof design, and version for the application at NPP. The transducers are capable of transforming the value of the measurement in a uniform current and/or digital signal.

Currently VNIIA is serially producing the smart pressure transducers with better performance, achieved due to the recommendations from the operating organizations and recommendations given by the testing centers.

There are the common industrial version of the transducers with explosion protection, the versions for Gazprom, Transneft and other facilities of the petroleum industry, and the version for NPP.

The technical specifications of the smart pressure transducers:

• Measured pressure range 0-0.04 kPa to 0-100.0 MPa;
• Basic error ±0.1, ±0.15, ±0.25, ±0.5%;
• Output signal: analog 4-20 mA with the digital signal based on the HART-protocol or digital signal via the Modbus RTU protocol using the RS-485 communication line;
• Versions: non-explosion-proof, explosion-proof (explosion-proof shell 1ExdllBT4);
• Operating temperature range -60 to +80 °C;
• Energized from the DC power 9-48 V;
• Electronic block rotation at ± 135°;
• Indicator rotation at 360° with fixation at every 90°;
• Specified lifetime at least 15 years;
• Warranty period 42 months.

In 2009 smart pressure transducers successfully passed the comparative tests at the operating NPP units and were included into the new projects of the NPP units, since they had demonstrated the best performance of all.

The specific features of the smart pressure transducers are:

• Output signal in the digital form;
• Remote control;
• LCD indicator;
• Transducer self-diagnostics in the background mode;
• Electronic board for the lightning-protection in a stand-alone block, which is easy to replace in the operation.

In May 2010 VNIIA received the International Certificate TÜV SÜD for the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System in the area of ÒÆÈÓ pressure transducers design, manufacturing, sales, and maintenance.
